One of the hottest trends this season is layer shorts with tights. Celebs and fashionistas worldwide have been sporting
this sensational look in various forms, and perhaps thats why the trend is so catchy. You can layer a variety of shorts (even cutoffs, like the stars above have done) with a variety of tights (check out Leighton Meester, right), there is no one way to achieve thisstyle! From Lindsay Lohan (below top) to Kate Moss (below bottom), here are some awesome examples to give you ideas of how you might be able to wear your shorts this winter.
This look is so fashionable because it combines a few very important things, some ‘fashion must-haves for every outfit’ as I like to put it. The first is sexy and classy, if you can combine the two, your outfit is sure to be a smash hit. Stay away from being too sexy
(slutty) and too classy (stiff), and stay somewhere in the grey area in between the two! The other combination that makes a certain style a ‘trend’, is the ability to wear it both in the day (like Keira Knightley, left) and in the night (like Gwen Stefani, below right). Certain styles don’t catch on as trends because they’re either too casual or too fancy. Trends are styles that can be altered to be worn both during the day and at night. Shorts with tights is a style that you can fancy up and dress down, so you can wear it virtually anytime!
