I have a little knack for predicting trends, and I have to give myself snaps for being right a lot of the time. When I was in grade 8, I was shopping with my friends and went into a sporting store to buy a pair of leggings (no clothing retailer at the time sold them). I got made fun of for even thinking of something so ridiculous. When I look at this pair of leggings (which are so thick, I have no idea how I wore them), I remember that I have a bit of a flare for fashion, and maybe I’m a bit ahead of my time. All those same girls that made fun of me, now wear leggings almost every other day, if not more. So, if anything you read on here is not what you agree with, wait it out and see if eventually the fashion tide washes something similar in.
Back in the spring, I predicted that the colour of the fall would be purple, and boy was I right! Purple everything, from suede boots, to dresses, to hats! People were plagued
with purple fashion fever. From the run way to the red carpet, to real life (like Coco Models’ Samantha, pictured above bottom), this colour sure made a splash this season. Now, as we head into the winter, I don’t expect the purple perfection to disappear, but I expect teal to jump on board. Yes, teal will be a fashion favorite this season, and we’ve already started to see evidence of this oncoming trend. Here are a few recent pics of teal pieces I love.
If you’re not into blue or green, try this cool and calm combination. This colour is great because it looks good on literally everyone! It also looks super hot with metallics (pictured above), go with silver for an edgy look, black for a subtle look, or gold for a rich look. Now, get out there and get yourself something teal to keep up with this trend!
